Liz is a Food Scientist with 20 years experience in the food industry. She has worked for a number of retailers and manufacturers, including over a decade in sales and marketing for The Coca-Cola Company across Europe, followed by a senior role at McCormick (owners of Schwartz)

Researched through talking to friends and family and to Master Butchers and Chefs, Liz's idea was to make home cooking and entertaining in the kitchen easier and fun, enabling busy people to be able to cook cuisines from around the world 'from scratch', without the need for numerous ingredients.

Prior to launching in 2003, Liz spent almost a year setting up the business, researching the concept thoroughly through desk and fieldwork, and then creating a brand and package which would embrace the fresh, new approach to quality home cooking.
